NEET Application FormNEET Application Form 2018 - The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the exam conducting body of NEET, has released the application form of NEET 2018 on February 8. The NEET 2018 application form can only be filled in online mode. The last date for the submission of NEET application form 2018 is March 9, 2018 (by 11.50 PM). Before filling the NEET 2018 application form, candidates must ensure that they fulfill the NEET eligibility criteria. Candidates who have completed at least 17 years of age or will complete 17 years on or before December 31, 2018 will be able to apply for NEET. However, candidates above the age of 25 (30 in the case of reserved categories) will not be allowed to apply. The application form of NEET 2018 will be open to editing before final submission. CBSE may also provide a one time correction window after one week of the submission last date for making corrections in certain fields of the NEET application form. At the time of submission of NEET 2018 application form, General Category and OBC candidates will be required to pay an application fee of INR 1400/- while SC/ST/PH candidates will have to pay an application fee of INR 750/-. NEET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in filling the application form of NEET 2018 must ensure they fulfill the NEET Eligibility Criteria 2018. The eligibility criteria is as given below.
  • Candidates should clear their Class 12 or equivalent qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. For reserved categories, the required score will be 40%.
  • Candidates who will appear for their Class 12 exam in 2018 and will be awaiting results for the same will also be eligible to apply for NEET 2018.
  • Candidate should be 17 years of age at the time of admission or should complete the same by December 31, 2018. The upper age limit of 25 years (30 years for reserved categories) has once again been introduced for NEET 2018.
  • Candidates can appear for NEET a maximum of three times, with the first attempt being counted from NEET 2017 onwards.
  • Candidates who have completed Class 12 from Open Schools or privately will not be eligible to apply.

Aadhar Card requirement for NEET 2018 Application Form

It is mandatory for Indian Nationals (except those belonging to Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu & Kashmir) to provide Aadhar card details while filling NEET application form 2018. It is because the details such as date of birth, name, etc. provided in the application form of NEET 2018 will be automatically verified with the UIDAI database whenever a candidate will enter their Aadhar enrollment number.
  • Candidates (except those belonging to Assam, Meghalaya and Jammu & Kashmir) who are not yet enrolled in Aadhar are required to apply for Aadhar by visiting a facilitation centre (Common Service Centres designated by CBSE to help candidates aspiring to appear in NEET) or their nearest Aadhar enrollment centre.
  • The facilitation centre/enrollment centre will issue a ‘Registration number’ to such candidates and they can then furnish the registration number while filling the NEET 2018 application form.

How to fill NEET 2018 Application Form

 
Filling the NEET Application Form 2018 is a four-step process. Go through the step-wise procedure described below to fill the application form:

Step 1: Click on the link given below.
Step 2: Fill in the basic registration details and note down the provisional registration number.
  • Candidates will be required to fill basic registration details mentioned above and will have to set a password at the end of the process.
  • Next, candidates will be required to mention their own or their parents’ mobile number and email address. CBSE will send all the information pertaining to NEET (release of admit card, etc.) on this registered mobile number and email address only.
  • Candidates belonging to Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J&K who wish to be eligible for All India Quota seats will be required to fill a self-declaration form which will appear while filling basic registration details. This may change for NEET 2018 as the latest reports suggestcandidates from these states will be participating in NEET All India Quota from 2018 onwards.
Step 3: Login through provisional registration number and password and enter further details.
  • Enter personal details, choice of medium of paper, examination centre, residential address, academic details etc., and upload digital photograph and signature.
  • The details of size and format of photograph and signature which needs to be uploaded are mentioned in the section above.
  • Save and close the application filling process. Candidates can come back to the portal and edit/submit their application form of NEET 2018 (by logging in) anytime before the last date of NEET application form submission.
Step 4: Payment of requisite application fee of the application form of NEET 2018 and final print-out of confirmation page.
  • The application fee for NEET 2018 application form can be paid in both offline and online modes. The fee for candidates belonging to General and OBC category is INR 1400/- and for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH category is INR 750/-.
  • After payment of application fee, a confirmation page will be generated and will also be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID of the candidate.
  • Candidates are advised to take a printout of application form and preserve it for future reference. Generation of confirmation page will be an indicator that the application form of NEET 2018has been successfully submitted.

Question: What are some precautions to keep in mind while filling application form of NEET 2018?
Answer: Candidates must keep their login passwords of NEET safe with them and must not share it with anyone. Also, for security reasons, keep changing your password and always remember to logout from NEET portal after you update or fill or submit the application form of NEET 2018.

Question: Is it permissible to change or retrieve the password of NEET application form 2018? How?
Answer: Yes. It is possible to retrieve the password of NEET. In case a candidate forgets their password, they can retrieve the same through the following ways:
  • OTP (One Time Password) on Registered Mobile Number: In order to retrieve password through OTP, candidates will need to enter their ‘Registration Number’, ‘Candidate’s Name’ and ‘Date of Birth’.
  • Through Security Question: Candidates can also retrieve their password by answering their ‘security question’, along with entering details like ‘Registration Number’, ‘Candidate’s Name’ and ‘Date of Birth’.
  • Forget Mobile number and Email ID: In order to retrieve the password through this method, candidates will need to enter ‘Registration Number’, ‘Candidate’s Name’, ‘Father’s and Mother’s Name’ and ‘Date of Birth’. 
Question: How can I fill the NEET application form 2018 and pay the application fee if I don’t have any access to internet?
Answer: CBSE has designated some Common Service Centres or Facilitation Centres through which candidates who don’t have an access to internet can fill and submit their application forms of NEET 2018. These service centres will provide candidates (especially from rural areas) with internet service through which NEET 2018 application forms can be submitted.
Candidates who fill NEET 2018 application form through Common Service Centres will be required to pay the application fee of NEET 2018 through e-wallets. Following charges will be applicable on filling application form and paying the application fee of NEET 2018 through e-wallet service at Common Service Centres.

Eligibility Code for NEET 2018 UG


  • NEET UG Code 01:  A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination, i.e 12 Standard in 2016 whose result is awaited may apply and take up the said test but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of Counseling.
  • NEET UG Code 02 :  The Higher/ Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.
  • NEET UG Code 03 : The Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Bio-technology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and also English as a compulsory subject
  • NEET UG Code 04 : The Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics ,Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology & English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.
  • NEET UG Code 05 : The first year of the three years’ degree course of a recognized University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology with English at a level not less than a core course.
  • NEET UG Code 06 : B.Sc.Examination of an Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc.Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics,Chemistry,Biology and English.
  • NEET UG Code 07: Any other examination which in scope and standard (Last 02 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology; Which shall include practical test in these subjects) is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English. Provided that to be eligible for competitive entrance examination, candidate must have passed any of the qualifying examinations as enumerated above or appearing in the qualifying examination in 2016.Provided also that to be eligible for competitive Entrance Test the candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination as mentioned in clause (2) of regulation 4 on Graduate Medical Education 1997 and in addition must have come in the merit list of All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test(AIPMT)for admission to MBBS/BDS courses.
